Middle school program overview
The middle school Summer Start Smart program will provide an opportunity for incoming 7th - 8th grade students to practice and build upon their literacy, math, and STEM skills. Students will also have daily enrichment activities and social-emotional learning opportunities.
Dates for 2022:
July 5 - July 29 (*Closed July 4th)
The program will be held Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 12:00 p.m.
Summer Start Smart 2022 Enrollment
MEUSD is offering a 4 week summer session allowing students to engage in fun, enrichment activities that reinforce Literacy, SEL, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math Learning. Students may also have opportunities to participate in recreation activities, projects, and field trips! Students will be able to select TWO (2) courses to take. Options include:
- Success in ELA for Middle School
- Success in Math for Middle School
- Video Game Design
- Arts Enrichment
- E-Sports
- mBots Robotics & Coding
Program Location:
Mountain Empire High School
Transportation:
Transportation will be provided. To receive bus transportation, select it on the registration form. Bus Routes for Summer Programs will be available on the district website by May 1st.
Meals:
Breakfast and lunch will be offered.

Registration opens May 16, 2022 and ends June 3, 2022 for all middle school programs.
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must complete summer school registration form.
REGISTRATION FORMS ARE DUE ON June 3rd.
