MEUSD TECHNOLOGY MISSION STATEMENT

 
Develop a deep partnership with academic staff to enhance and sustain the ideal learning environment which stimulates learning, information retention, and enjoyment in the classroom. 
 
The Information Technology Department provides support to schools and offices for the following: 
 
  • Network Infrastructure (Routers/Switches/WiFi/Etc.)
  • VOIP/Fax/Telephone Systems
  • E-Rate
  • Hardware Repair (PCs/Chromebooks/Laptops/Macbooks/etc.)
  • Inventory Management
  • E-mail
  • Web Site Management
  • IT Project Management
  • Business Applications
  • Systems Management
  • Server Management
  • Student Information Systems (Aeries)
  • End-User Support / HelpDesk
 
 
The role and responsibility of the Information Technology Department includes, but is not limited to, the following: 
 
  • Provide leadership to set strategic technology direction and priorities for the school system
  • Establish and monitor controls to meet technology program, budget, and school system objectives
  • Provide administrative, instructional systems, and infrastructure that are implemented and maintained to meet internal organizational requirements
  • Work with staff from other departments and schools to provide the appropriate implementation of technology
  • Manage multiple complex projects while achieving results within required cost, time, functionality, performance, and quality requirements
  • Promote current information technologies and best practices
  • Implement system analysis, design, development, testing, and quality assurance methodologies
  • Support a variety of technology architecture including web-based, client/server, centralized, and distributed computing models
  • Provide technical training when applicable
  • Identify and analyze new technologies, systems, and applications to determine requirement compliance and system compatibility
